Twilight Is Not Literature & Other Hand Me Down Wisdom

A few months ago, a friend from high school shared with me a list he had started keeping since his wife was pregnant. In this list was pages and pages of advice he wanted to share with his son as he grows up.

What a sweet sentiment, I thought – advice on how to be a great human! Oh – what an understatement – Jonathan’s list contains the best, most down to earth, and funniest nuggets of wisdom I’ve ever read. He’s just keeping it real. I loved them so much that I couldn’t help but to hand letter a few of them and share them with you guys.

1. Twilight Is Not Literature:   Raspberry-wash-Twilight

2. Be Aware of How You Eat A Popsicle In Public (am I right, am I right?)Be-Aware-Of-Popsicle

3. And most poignantly, Don’t Be A Dick:

I’ll be sharing more of these with you over the next few months as I hand letter them out….. Do you have more Hand Me Down Wisdom for your kids that you’d like me to write out? Let me know! I’d love to hear.

I love this! Very sweet idea your friend had. Beautiful work, Jody. Seriously, I am loving your work and all of the things going on at MBOJ. Here are some ideas for you!!!

*Be a good. Just be a good person.

*Be honest, but also remember to be kind.

*Never look down on others unless you’re helping them up (I didn’t write that one, but I always loved it).

Ok, why am I getting teary eyed writing this?! I’m such a sap! <3 <3

Just getting around to reply to these – it’s been a madhouse!

Thank you for your encouragement – it means a lot to me! Don’t worry, I get teary eyed ALL THE TIME nowadays. I hear it gets worse with every child you birth, too. So maybe…..this might be it for me LOL.

Oh hey, leave a message!
