Freshly Picked Review…and Giveaway! -NOW CLOSED-

I am beyond stoked for this post. I’ve been waiting for over a month now to publish it, and I’ve been going nuts trying not to do it earlier.

Freshly Picked, of cute-baby-moccasin fame (and also ABC’s Shark Tank fame), was awesome enough to send me a pair of their baby mocs to review. I chose the gold ones for Olive (surprise, surprise, right?) and when they arrived, I basically assaulted my mail person to the ground. Straight up almost mowed her down with my eager body. She’s okay, no mail person was harmed in the making of this review.

So, lets get down to business.

Ordering and sizing of the mocs is really easy. There is a printable size chart that you can find on their website, and they really are true to size, as they claim. Since I realized that toddler feet basically grow overnight, I ordered a size up – a size 6 – when Olive really only is currently a 5andaquarter. So when my mocs arrived, they were a little big. But that’s good, you see, because then we can wear them for a long(er) time.

I was happily surprised at the construction of the mocs – they are hardily stitched and the leather is thick, sturdy yet supple. We’ve worn them pretty consistently for a couple of weeks now, and they are holding up well. Granted, we only take her out to parks and indoor places (she’s not walking on a bunch of rough terrain), the soles haven’t worn out too much, either.

I also have to mention that everytime Olive is out with these mocs, I always, always have someone commenting on how cute they are. Like, people actually stop me to ask me where I got them, or they just couldn’t fight the urge to tell me that her “feet look magical”. (Real words, from a real random someone at Costco).

I think the one criticism I have about the mocs is that it is really hard to tell the left shoe from the right. They look so, so similar; but it’s so similar that I’m not even sure that if she wore them incorrectly that people would notice. And the shoes are soft enough that I don’t think Olive would notice, either. Another concern I have is that the shoes are a little too soft soled – I should have gotten these shoes sooner, while she was cruising/crawling instead of walking/running – I am slightly concerned about support. But, it’s also not like she’s walking miles and miles, so I’m not sure how important that is at this very moment.

All in all, I love them. Being obsessed with pretty things, these are kind of a no brainer for me. Also, these are the only shoes that Olive doesn’t try to take off while in her carseat. So, win-win for me.

OK first of all- umm floral crown? homemade? you go girl…Olive is TOO CUTE. secondly- these shoes are so presh! I obviously need a pair for little Harper! I’m kind of digging the #2 gold stud moccasins but if I really had to pick one- I would totally go for the gold ones Olive is modeling. They go with everything and would be awesome with all the pink my LO wears. so cute- thanks for the review!!

Hahah Taryn thanks for the floral crown thumbs up! I’ve always wanted to make one, so I finally did for this shoot! They aren’t too difficult to make, but honestly floral tape is probably the most annoying thing in the world! xx
