Instead of my usual “Favorite Pins” post that I do on Fridays, I’d like to take this chance to wish my Mom a very happy Mothers Day.
That’s her, above, holding Olive. She lives really far away – an 18 hour flight away – and I rarely get to see her. Since I moved to California almost 14 years ago, we are together at best 3-4 times a year. Even though we have so much geographical distance between us, I don’t think we’ve ever been closer. Becoming a mother myself has really made me appreciate her so much more. I have so much to learn from you, Mama. Thank you for being such an inspiring woman, and the best Grandmother to Olive.
(Oh look, it’s me and my mom, circa 1983. Yes, I’m in a tiny fur coat.)
And, to all my Mama-Readers: Thank you for being here, I appreciate you so much. Happy Mothers Day, I hope you know what an awesome job you’re doing. I know we all feel like we fall short sometimes, but I can probably bet you’re doing more than alright.
